Guided ReadingPlease have your child practice reading his/her guided reading books to you every night. After your child finishes reading a book, please have them close the book and retell the story in their own words. You are looking for all of the juicy details from the story. Make sure that your child uses the characters' names as they retell the story. The story should be retold in order - beginning, middle, end.
